A merit-based scholarship (min 3.0 GPA) for graduating high school seniors, no older than 20 as of Aug 1, 2027, who are residents of one of 26 mostly Southern/Midwestern/Mid-Atlantic states (AL, AR, DE, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MD, MS, MO, NE, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WV). Funded by Great Southern Wood Preserving; scholarships apply only to U.S. Dept. of Education-accredited institutions. Students who competed in intercollegiate sports the prior semester/year are ineligible.
