A nine-week summer volunteer program at Mayo Clinic's Arizona campus for high school students. While clinical shadowing isn't part of the program, volunteers gain exposure to the healthcare environment through service assignments involving both patient and non-patient interactions, serving one four-hour shift per week over the summer.
Open to students who are 15-18 by May 1, not yet enrolled in college, and can commit to the full nine-week program. A mandatory in-person interview, orientation, and an occupational-health screening (at Mayo's expense) are required.
