A student research program from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory's DNA Learning Center that engages NYC high schoolers in biodiversity research using DNA barcoding. After two prerequisite courses (Conservation Genetics; DNA Barcoding and Bioinformatics), students design and carry out a mentored research project — at least 55 hours — and present at a spring symposium. Participants earn a $500 stipend.
