A Department of Defense-sponsored STEM research competition for high school students. Students conduct original research, present their findings at a regional symposium, and compete for scholarships and the chance to advance to the national symposium. Participation runs through regional symposia across the country.
Open to high school students in grades 9–12. Free to participate; students enter through their regional symposium (registration and abstract deadlines vary by region, generally in the fall and winter).
