Opportunities for 12th Graders (Seniors)

1048 listings accept 12th graders, and 391 are open to apply now.

Senior year is scholarship season. Most college scholarships are open only to seniors, with deadlines spread from the fall through the spring, so it pays to start early and keep a list.

Seniors can also still do a lot beyond scholarships: competitions, paid jobs, internships and volunteer roles that fit around applications. Some summer programs also accept graduating seniors for the summer before college.

Common questions

When should seniors apply for scholarships?

Start in the fall. Deadlines run from October through the spring, and the larger national scholarships often close earliest. Save the ones you qualify for and work through them by deadline.

Can seniors still do summer programs?

Some, yes. A number of programs accept graduating seniors for the summer before college, though many are built for rising juniors and seniors instead.

Are there internships for high school seniors?

Yes. Seniors are eligible for nearly every high school internship, including paid ones at city agencies, hospitals, museums and companies.
